How We Met
It often happens that when you are not looking for something great, the greatest of things happens.
We were both at a New Year's Eve bonfire to ring in 2022 with friends. As the clock inched its way to midnight, neither of us had that special someone to share the first moments of the year with. That was okay, we weren't there for romance. Then.... let's just say that while others were lighting off fireworks to celebrate the new year, we were starting some sparks of our own -- one that would lead to fireworks and wedding vows. When Marshal told Rachel, "I think I'll sit here because there isn't a warmer place I could be," Rachel melted faster than a marshmallow on a S'mores.
The Proposal
When Marshal said, "Rachel stand up!" I thought I was in trouble because he sounded so serious, and rarely calls me Rachel; then this happened:

Our Venue
. Our country wedding will be held at Flutterby Ranch. You knew it would be a country wedding, didn't you?
We will say our vows outdoors in the natural beauty of a Kansas plain. The reception will follow on site in the charming lodge.
Y'all know that we are country from boots to barn. Feel free to wear your comfy clothes. We are. And besides, there might just be some outdoor activities for you to enjoy.
